EGCC Transfer Opportunities

Opportunities to transfer courses into four-year degree programs exist at Eastern Gateway Community College in several ways: Transfer Assurance Guides, the Ohio Transfer Module, Articulation Agreements and Equivalency Guides.

State of Ohio Transfer Initiatives
Eastern Gateway Community College is committed to following all transfer initiatives set by the Ohio Board of Regents.  This commitment enables students to have seamless transfer between public institutions of higher education in Ohio.

Transfer Assurance Guides: Course in TAGs are guaranteed to transfer and apply directly to a student's major. In its totality, the TAGs become a guaranteed pathway for students. The TAGs are developed, approved, and monitored by Ohio's public institutions for higher education.  Keep in mind that this guarantee only applies to Ohio public institutions, although many private institutions follow the same directives.  Make sure to always work with advisors at both institutions.  Click here to view Eastern Gateway's approved TAG courses.

Ohio Transfer Module: The Ohio Transfer Module (OTM), which is a subset or a complete set of a public college's or university's general education requirement that represents a common body of knowledge and academic skills, is comprised of 36-40 semester hours of courses in the following fields: English composition and oral communication; mathematics, statistics and formal/symbolic knowledge; arts and humanities; social and behavioral sciences; and natural sciences. Additional elective hours from among the five areas make up the total hours for a completed Ohio Transfer Module.  Click here to view Eastern Gateway's Transfer Module.
