Students wishing to transfer from EGCC to another college or university will be provided step-by-step instructions on how to request their EGCC transcript, as well as adding the school code or codes of the schools they plan to transfer to. Also, the call center will help you with access to other resources at the college, such as Financial Aid, Academic Advising, or Transfer & Articulation Services. What are the first steps to transfer?

- If you are applying for Financial Aid, you need to add the school code to your existing FAFSA:
Select “Log In” on the home page of the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form and log in. You’ll have the option to “Add/Update Schools.” You may add or remove colleges and then submit the corrections for processing.

When should I request my EGCC Transcript?
- You can order a transcript at any time. EGCC provides 3 processing options, Current Transcript, After Grades are Posted or After Degree Completion is Posted. Your selection will determine how soon the order is processed.
Note: Official transcript with Hold for Grades on the order will not be processed until 7 days after the end of the semester.

How will I know if all my EGCC credits will apply at another school?

Am I eligible for Financial Aid as a transfer student?
- To determine your eligibility, you must first add to the FAFSA the school code of the school you plan to attend. You will want to follow up with the school’s Financial Aid office to discuss what you are eligible for, this could include grants, scholarships, loans or work-study.
How will other schools get my FAFSA?

Will adding another school to my FAFSA affect how much aid I will receive?
- Adding schools to your FAFSA won’t have any impact on your financial aid package. You can send your FAFSA results to as many schools as you’d like without any impact on your financial aid.
Will colleges confirm when they have received my FAFSA results?
- Some colleges will send confirmations of FAFSA receipt or include it in their online application portal. However, not all colleges will notify you. If you are unsure if your college received your FAFSA results, you should reach out to the financial aid office to double-check.
