Nursing

Nursing program student receives the first Kyona Moses Hooker Scholarship

The college congratulates Asia May, an EGCC Nursing program student in Youngstown, who received the first Kyona Moses Hooker Scholarship. Kyona’s mother, husband, and uncle were on hand to award this scholarship to Asia and speak about Kyona’s impact on those around her.
Kyona had graduated from the EGCC ADN program and had a career as an RN that she loved. We thank her family for sharing her light and spreading it to more EGCC students.
Congratulations, Asia!

Trio

Associate in Accounting

“I graduated from EGCC with an Associate in Accounting. I started at EGCC in January of 2021 after deciding that I needed a change from where I currently was in my life. I went from working 50-60 hours a week to becoming a full-time student and taking over as the stay-at-home parent to our three children. My wife and family have been so supportive throughout this part of my journey, and I couldn’t have done it without them.

I am transferring to Grand Canyon University this fall to continue my education and am excited for this next step. Thank you to all the faculty, staff, and major thanks to TRIO SSS for guiding and helping me to achieve this goal and finally earn my degree! Congratulations to all EGCC graduates, and I am so honored to share this achievement with you all!”
Congrats Brian, and thanks for sharing your story with our EGCC students!
