Aspire and Academic Enrichment Classes
Eastern Gateway is an official testing site for the General Education Diploma (GED). Eastern Gateway Jefferson County Campus and Mahoning County Campus offer Adult Basic and Literacy Education (Aspire) classes. The college is ready to help you acquire your high school equivalent diploma. The college also is ready to assist you if you have your high school diploma but need to:
- Improve your basic skills in English or math.
- Upgrade academic skills for technical training/college.
- Get one-on-one literacy tutoring or writing through Aspire.
Free Aspire classes are available at the Pugliese Center on the Jefferson County Campus and the Humphries Hall Mahoning County Campus. The program has experienced teachers who provide a friendly, adult classroom atmosphere with small classes and personal attention. Adults of all ages are welcome to attend but 16- and 18-year-old students must be officially withdrawn from school before enrolling in programs.
Official GED Testing Site
Eastern Gateway’s Jefferson County Campus is an official testing site for the GED test. Registration is required to take the test. For more details and to register, contact the Aspire staff at (740) 264-5591 x1927.
Eastern Gateway’s Mahoning County Campus – Registration is required to participate in classes. Please contact Aspire staff at (330) 480-0726 x3200.
