Thank you for applying at Eastern Gateway Community College. This email confirms our receipt of your application for College Credit Plus. (*This is not a formal acceptance into Eastern Gateway Community College’s College Credit Plus Program*)
To gain formal acceptance in the College Credit Plus Program students must complete all steps in the Admissions checklist below and meet the required assessment scores. Admissions
¨ Attend a College Credit Plus Information Night
¨ Submit an “Intent to Participate Form” at your High School. Deadline: [CCPINTENTDATE]
Public School – Click here to fill out and submit directly to your High School Counselor.
Homeschool – follow instructions on Ohio Department of Education website, by clicking here.
Private School – follow instructions on Ohio Department of Education website, by clicking here.
¨ Students who have taken the ACT/SAT and have met the minimum required scores: ACT: English 18, Reading 22, Math 22; SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 480, Math Sub Score 530, should have their counselor submit the scores to EGCC. Students who have not taken ACT/SAT or met the minimum scores required will need to take the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER Assessment.Minimum qualifying scores are: Next-Generation ACCUPLACER: Reading 250, English 263, Mathematics 263 (QAS) 263 (AAF).
* The ACCUPLACER assessment is given at most high schools. Please check with your Guidance Counselor for available testing dates. If your school does not offer the ACCUPLACER assessment on site, please contact the college to schedule a testing appointment at one of our campuses. *
Once the student has met all of the above requirements, the student will receive a formal acceptance letter via postal mail with further instructions.

Ohio’s College Credit Plus program can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. College Credit Plus promotes rigorous academic pursuits and provides a wide variety of options to college-ready students.
Benefits of EGCC’s College Credit Plus Program
- College Credit Plus courses and instructional materials are free to the student.
- All students are assigned a College Credit Plus Advisor who provides the student with guidance regarding scheduling, advising, Eastern Gateway’s policies and any other questions or concerns.
- All College Credit Plus students are considered EGCC students and have access to many benefits and student support services.
- Credits earned can transfer. EGCC also offers several General Education Courses that meet the Ohio Transfer Module (OTM) that guarantees transferability to Ohio colleges and universities.
